About
Hi world. My name is John, and this is my blog. There – my introduction anxiety is over now. I now know that I’m far from being alone.
I’m a man of the world. And by world I mean my “own little world.” The kind that writers inhabit. Buildings are dollhouses to me. I open the front and manipulate what’s going on inside until I’m satisfied.
However I’m trapped and shackled down by Retail Roots. They’ve been growing and winding around my torso since I ran out of money to complete my collegiate education. The roots have planted me so that I can live, but that’s the extent.
That’s when I began to re-explore the inner-depths of my mind. Where the stories ran rampant, and took control of my soul. With fingers to keyboard the stories one by one start to come alive.
This blog is the simple story of one writer trying to break free of his Retail Manager shackles. There will be triumphs and struggles and oddities abound. Please feel free to sit a spell and enjoy. Perhaps you can grab a saw and help contain the tangle of roots while you’re here.
So far John has been published in The Shine Journal, Flashes in the Dark, Every Day Poets, tweetthemeat, Thaumatrope, and his short “That Perfect Dress” appears in the anthology Twisted Legends: Urbanized and Unauthorized.
